M-Sport Ford has announced that Adrien Fourmaux will no longer contest next week’s FORUM8 Rally Japan

From the 10 - 13 November. The youngster was due to drive a Puma Rally1 at the WRC’s season finale but the decision has been taken with his M-Sport team to give the Nagoya-based fixture a miss.

A statement released by the British squad explained the decision was mutual and due to a combination of budgetary constraints coupled with Fourmaux switching his focus to the 2023 season.

But there is now even more speculation about the future of his career with M-sport and in the WRC as a whole. There has been numerous comments from members of the team and this one is the most striking from Richard Milner in Spain

"We've had one Frenchman enter the team and show us the capability of our car and one that has shown us the underside of our car”
