Craig breen wasn’t the only world rally championship driver in a group A car this weekend. Switching his Hyundai Motorsport i20 N Rally1 for a BMW M3, Thierry Neuville thrilled Belgian rally fans with a stunning run to sixth overall on last weekend’s Spa Rally.

Despite never having driven the rear-wheel drive classic machine, Neuville looked immediately at home in the car which sported a LifeLive livery. Run in and around the Spa circuit the event was hit by wintry weather with snow lying on some stages.

Winner of last month’s WRC finale, FORUM8 Rally Japan, Neuville mastered both the car and the conditions to win his class by more than five minutes.

“This rally was for fun,” said Neville, “and we definitely had fun. There were a lot of smiles when we were driving and a big thanks to LifeLive for making this happen.”
