Ogier leads after day 1 of Racc rally Spain
Sebastian ogier leads rally Spain after the first day of competitive action. He was in a three way battle with Rövenpera and Neuville all day. Tanak just behind is trying to keep up to the pace of the leading 3 and is +20 seconds off the rally lead. Ogier only leads by +4.8 seconds and tomorrow's stages will be even faster, Craig breen described them as “a race circuit”
Sordo is 5th at his home event. Sixth goes to Elfyn Evans who can't catch a break in this 2022 season so far. The weather may play havoc tomorrow with a unsure weather forecast until around 11 o’clock, where the sun will break the cloud and that weather should continue up until 7 o’clock. Factor in the big cuts that can easily cut open a tire as Sordo, Evans and Katsuta all found out on stage 6 tomorrow will throw the rally on its head. The cuts are supposed to be less of a threat than today still poise a threat. The wrc standings after day 1
