Kalle Rovenpera crowned FIA World rally champion of 2022

The flying Finn turned 22 just the day before. Kalle lead the rally after day 3 due to multiple drivers collecting penalties after hybrid infringements.

Some of those drivers included Tanak (his main title rival) Ogier and Neuville. Kalle went on to win the rally with a hefty gap to Toyota team-mate Ogier of just over 30 seconds. Kalle also broke records and now holds the record for the youngest wrc drivers champion beating the previously held record of Colin McRaes by 5 years
